We’re kicking off this series with our service director, Jeff Lind!
Q. How long have you worked for Frank Leta?
A. 20 years in March!
Q. What position did you start in, and what position are you in now?
A. I started as a service advisor and dispatcher. I was promoted to assistant service manager in 2007, then I was promoted to service manager in 2013. Most recently, I was promoted to service director in 2015.
Q. How long have you worked with Acuras?
A. 20 years.
Q. What is the coolest experience you’ve had so far while working for Frank Leta?
A. I did a ride and drive at Atlanta Motor Speedway with professional drivers when the Acura RLX was released.
Q. What is your funniest memory so far while working for Frank Leta?
A. I remember hearing a very loud bang (it sounded like a bomb), and all of the power went out in the shop for several hours. A transformer had blown out and we found the culprit to be a petrified squirrel with it’s hair standing up and a large walnut in it’s mouth.
Q. If the guys in the shop could use three words to describe you, what would they say?
A. Amusing, intense, and blabbermouth.
Q. You’re on your lunch break and can eat at any restaurant in St. Louis–where would you go?
A. Pueblo Nuevo (pork flautas!).
Q. What’s your favorite thing to hear from a customer?
A. When they say, “I have no choice but to buy my car here because of the service department!”
Q. What is the biggest surprise or craziest thing you’ve seen when looking under a hood?
A. A six foot boa constrictor.
Q. Finish this sentence: “If I wasn’t working on cars for a living, I would be doing…?
Q. What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you?
A. I used to have really long hair and played guitar.
Q. What is your biggest accomplishment/thing you’re most proud of?
A. Being a dad to two wonderful daughters.
